"There is nothing I love more than great tone. I'm very proud to be able to say that I play Hobie Resonator Guitars! In my opinion, the best overall guitar being made right now!"

"In the world of resonator guitar makers, there is a somewhat common goal, acheiving great tone and volume without sacrificing either of the two. Of all the guitars I have had in my hands, the Hobie is the one that has proven to handle my playing style the best. The high end cuts like a knife and the bass response is incredible! If you are looking for a well rounded guitar, then look no further than Hobie Resonator Guitars. End of Subject! " Andy Ruff

Whenever I see a new or different instrument builder that I am not already familiar with, I have to try them out to see if they have what it takes to hang with big boys. With the competition of so many different builders these days if hard to pick who's got the best looks or the best sound or both, but I can honestly say that I have been impressed with the "Hobie" resophonic guitars right from the get-go. The sound that they produce gives the best worlds. The deep bottom end brings the traditional "Josh" sound to life while the upper end cuts like a knife through best of the killer banjos giving you the more bluesier and modern "Rob Ikes" and "Jerry Douglas" style sounds. These dobros really can get the job done. Hobert uses some of the finest woods and finishes I've seen on any professional instrument. Being a builder myself for several years I have learned what to look for when it comes to quality and am very particular especially when it comes to the sound, and the "Hobie" dobros are truly up to my standards. I would highly recommend them to any one looking for a great dobro that will last them for many, many years to come.

As a player, I'm constantly looking for a guitar that offers a distinct, tone that I can use. When I first played a Hobie guitar, It's haunting stuck with me. It had a dark sound that worked perfect for drop tuning. I had to have one!!!

Hobie Guitars is one of, if not the best musical instruments I have ever played the term "You can't rush quality" has never been expressed more than in a Hobie Resonator. Hobert puts heart and soul into every guitar he builds. They have a great sound and the beauty of the guitar is oustanding. I can't say enough about how great these guitars sound and look. You have to play one and see for yourself.
